Friction Materials
The strength and heat resistance of phenolic resins also play an important role in the production of friction materials. No easy task, considering that brake pads have to generate a defined friction performance within an extremely short time, even in in water, dust and extreme variations of temperature.
Thanks to their outstanding thermal resistance and their compatibility with friction components our resins are extensively used in a wide range of friction materials, including brake and clutch linings and disc pads. We offer manufacturers of friction materials a complete portfolio of unmodified and modified phenolic resins and other thermoset resins in liquid as well as powder form.
