Special Applications

The broad range of properties we can engineer into our phenolic resins make them suitable for use as components in the most widely divergent applications. Together with epoxy resins, for example, they improve the performance and adhesion of paints used for coil or can coatings.

Applications with graphite include temperature-resistant electrodes, self-lubricating bearings, carbon fibre reinforced plastics and fuel cells. Uninterruptible power supply systems use phenolic resin-based battery separators, and cappings on lamp sockets benefit from the resins’ heat and electrical insulating properties.
