In line with our long-term management succession plans, Elmar Boeke will join the Prefere Resins Group as Chief Operating Officer (COO) on 1 March 2021. Elmar, a trained physicist, is an experienced CEO of several Germany-based private companies in the chemical and related sectors. He joins us from Lohmann, an internationally active advanced adhesive tape solutions business, where he served as CEO. Prior to Lohmann, Elmar was a Managing Director at ECKART GmbH, a global effect pigments manufacturer and part of the privately held Altana Group. Elmar will have full responsibility for the Phenolic Resin Business Unit and will report to Dr Arno Knebelkamp (CEO).

Arno has announced previously to the shareholders’ committee his intention to retire from the role of CEO of the Prefere Resins Group on November 1, 2021.

However, Arno will continue being engaged in the further development of the group in a non-executive capacity after November 2021 and has accepted to join the shareholders’ committee in the role of vice chairman.

With Arno’s retirement on November 1, 2021, Elmar will be appointed CEO of the Prefere Resins Group, reporting to the shareholders’ committee.
